Outlets at Castle Rock host month-long campaign

Breast cancer “survivors, previvors and thrivers” turned out at the Outlets at Castle Rock on Oct. 13 for a fashion show walked by models impacted by the illness. The event is part of a month-long campaign to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for Susan G. Komen Colorado.

October is National Brest Cancer Awareness Month, which spurred the shopping center’s partnership with Susan G. Komen Colorado, a Denver-based organization that has invested more than $43 million in Colorado health clinics, hospitals and community organizations focused on breast cancer care.

“What it’s all about is honoring breast cancer survivors and thrivers, but additionally to give us a platform to support the cause and raise funds,” Outlets spokesman Roberto Johnson said.
