RidgeGate East will be included in the South Suburban Park and Recreation's service area.
The inclusion is the result of the South Suburban board of directors' vote March 28 to approve a resolution to adopt the Lone Tree Addendum to the district's master plan for RidgeGate East.
“We're delighted to adopt the Lone Tree Addendum to South Suburban's Master Plan for RidgeGate East as we plan for the addition of recreational amenities,” John Ostermiller, South Suburban board chair, said in a news release.
The RidgeGate East development is east of Interstate 25 and south of Lincoln Avenue. It will include neighborhood parks, a large regional park, trails, open space, a recreation center and other amenities.
A six-month public process was conducted by South Suburban, the City of Lone Tree and consultants from Design Workshop. At its March 20 public meeting, Lone Tree City County recommended that the addendum be adopted by the recreation district.
