The Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force is asking for the
public’s assistance in identifying two men believed to be
responsible for four bank robberies in Colorado.
The most recent robbery was around 1 p.m. April 18 at the US
Bank located at 801 West 120th Ave, Westminster. According to Kathy
Wright FBI Denver Division Media Coordinator, the armed men entered
the bank and threatened the people inside the bank with guns.
Wright said that during the robberies usually one of the robbers
goes behind the teller counter. On April 18, the robbers fled with
an undisclosed amount of money in a stolen red Jeep Cherokee.
The Jeep was stolen in Thornton and recovered, after the robbery
in Westminster. There were no physical injuries or shots fired
during any of the robberies.
These men are also believed to be responsible for robberies at
the following banks:
Feb. 12, TCF Bank, 8756 South Yosmite Street, Lone Tree.
March 17, Chase Bank, 22860 East Smoky Hill Road, Aurora.
March 30, Front Range Bank, 3594 South Logan Street,
Englewood.
They are described as Hispanic or White males, in their 20s. One
may be about 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 8 inches in height. The second may
be around 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 10 inches in height.
