Residents are invited to attend one of seven public meetings,
the public input from which will guide Douglas County’s efforts to
update its 1998 Parks, Trails and Open Space Master Plan, specific
to the community’s goals, values and needs for the next 20 to 30
years.
“County residents identify parks, trails and open space as some
of the county’s most significant amenities contributing to the
quality of life within the county,” said Joe Fowler, chief planner
and project manager for the master-plan process. “This process
affords citizens the ability to communicate their own vision and
needs for these important resources.”
Public meetings, all beginning at 6:30 p.m., are scheduled for

Highway 83, Franktown; Feb. 10, West Douglas Firehouse, 4037 Platte
