June 12

Tales on the Trail. Douglas County Libraries offers an outing that combines well-told tales and a spectacular setting. Come to Castlewood Canyon State Park June 12 and join us for a morning hike on Canyon View Trail. Stop along the way to hear a story or two told by Douglas County Libraries Spellbinders. Meet at the trail head at 9 a.m. and conclude the hike by noon. Enter the park five miles south of Franktown on Highway 83. A Colorado State Parks pass is required. Fees apply; daily passes are $6 per vehicle and are available at the park gate. The Canyon View Trail is an easy, paved trail, about 1.2 miles long. It is ADA accessible and offers excellent views of the canyon. Pets are allowed on leashes shorter than six feet. Be prepared for the day’s weather. Call 303-791-7323 or visit DouglasCountyLibraries.org.
