For over two decades, Golden City Brewery has held its annual Goldenfest fundraiser for the Golden Fire Department. This year, the event took on added significance as it was held on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Those who visited the brewery were able to buy limited edition glass mugs for $10 that came with a free beer. All proceeds from the mugs went to the fire department. Manager Tamara Russell said the 400 mugs sold out raising $4,000 for the department.
