Tell us about your career.
After graduation from Iowa State University, I served overseas and stateside as a Naval officer. Following my military service I worked for a computer company and then a manufacturing company, initially as an IT manager and eventually as VP of operations. I later joined a consulting firm focused on improving operations in a variety of manufacturing companies. I eventually changed career paths and became a financial adviser for Edward Jones Financial Companies and I am a retired partner of the firm.
What contributions have you made to the community?
Prior to moving to Colorado from Pennsylvania I had served as chairman of the Township Planning Commission, president of the Lions Club, president of an HOA and scoutmaster of a Boy Scout troop. My current volunteer activities revolve around my church, Peaceful Valley Boy Scout Ranch and as president of the Lone Tree Terrace HOA.
Why are you running for the Park Meadows Metropolitan board?
I want to ensure that the PMMD funds are spent (wisely) to maintain and also improve the infrastructure of the district’s landscaped road medians and adjacent properties. I have attended a number of PMMD meetings and reviewed the district website content so I could learn of past and current PMMD issues, objectives and projects along with the personnel involved in the process. If elected to the board of directors, I will make an in-depth evaluation prior to any decision concerning implementation of district projects.
