High schools team up to present candidate forum

The speech and debate team at Ponderosa High School and the AP government class at Highlands Ranch High School have teamed up to host a Douglas County Board of Education candidate forum.

The forum will be Monday, Oct. 21 at Ponderosa High School, 7007 Bayou Gulch Road, Parker. Candidates will have tables at which voters can get literature and meet the candidates from 6-7 p.m. outside the theater. Candidates will be asked questions and provide answers to help explain the platforms for their campaigns during the forum from 7-8 p.m.

The candidates for District A are Andy Jones and Susan Meek. For District F, candidates are Kory Nelson and David Ray. District C candidates are Elizabeth Hanson and Franceen Thompson.
