Softball

Legacy needed four innings to beat Monarch 16-4 in Lafayette Oct. 1. The state's mercy rule ended the game early.

Karlee Bergman had a base hit and drove in four runs. Kate Walker had four hits and drove in three runs. Pitchers Ayana Goodwin and Prisca Smolens combined to throw a three-hitter.

Legacy blanked Fairview 13-0 in five innings Sept. 29 in Boulder. Goodwin had three hits and four RBIs. Goodwin also struck out nine Fairview batters in a complete-game effort. Jordyn Heronimus and Bergman drove in two runs.

Jacey Lane and Ella Waters had the Knights' base hits.

Ralston Valley downed Legacy 8-1 in Broomfield Sept. 26. Riley Kline had a base hit and three RBIs for the Mustangs. Lily Hawkins and Ava Bachman added two hits and a pair of RBIs.

No stats were available for the Lightning.

Volleyball

Legacy outlasted Broomfield 17-25, 19-25, 25-16, 26-24, 15-7 on the Lightning's floor Sept. 29. Lillia Neill led the Eagles with 13 kills. Taylor Dye had eight.

Kaci Esplin had 11 kills for LHS. Taryn McGonigle had nine, as did Alexa Urbina. She also; had three aces.

Legacy tripped up Erie 25-15, 25-17, 19-25, 25-19 on the Tigers' floor Sept. 27.

Alynna Haggadone led the Lightning with 10 kills. Urbina was next with nine, and Taylor Shepherd added seven. Urbina also served up three aces.

No stats were available for Erie.

Football

AURORA -- Legacy beat Rangeview 35-14 at Aurora Public Schools Stadium Sept. 29.

LHS quarterback Kullen Lerma was 9-for-19 for 175 yards and three touchdowns. Will Thurston caught two of those TD passes. He finished with four receptions for 76 yards. Tyler Madde caught the other touchdown toss. He caught four passes for 74 yards.

Lerma also ran for a touchdown and gained 84 yards rushing. Tyler Anderson rushed five times for 77 yards.

Soccer

Legacy shut out Monarch 3-0 in Broomfield Sept. 29. No stats were available for the Coyotes. Cooper Stephens (two) and Zachary Nickell (one) accounted for the Lightning's goals. Keeper Wesley Hempelmann had five saves.

Golf

Legacy's golf team placed seventh at the Holy family Bobblehead Invitational Sept. 27 at Broadlands Golf Course,.

Individually, Jensen Reiderer and Jason Kim turned in the Lightning's lowest scores with 79s. Matthew Allshouse had an 82.
