Legend kicks off boys lacrosse

Posted

As Legend athletics’ programs continue to find their legs, the second-year high school adds its inaugural boys lacrosse season this year.

Legend High School boys lacrosse kick off with a junior varsity schedule this year, under the coaching of Christopher Magrin.

Magrin said even though the team is new to its Pioneer League, expectations are high for the freshmen and sophomores on its roster.

“We hope to make an impact in the Pioneer League and believe that we can go .500 or better with our first season,” the coach said.

Among the teams players to watch is Zach Wilson. Wilson is a freshman who plays on the attack. In the midfield, Luke Behrends and Ben Federspiel should also have a say on the season. Both are freshmen as well.

Corey Wood may also have moments for the highlights reel at the midfield position, and between the pipes is Kyle Broylette.

“We are looking to make a presence in the pioneer league and looking to establish a belief within the current lacrosse players at Legend High School,” Magrin said.
