Sokol’s business background needed on board

There are several fine candidates running in the South Metro Fire Rescue Board race, but one truly stands out above the rest. He is Rich Sokol, the last name on the ballot.

Anyone who knows Rich can testify he is a thoughtful and intelligent individual with exceptional communication skills. He is a diligent worker who is committed to bettering our community, and I know will do a great job on the board. Rich’s business background is truly needed at this time. Because property values have fallen in our area, the property taxes that fund our fire stations, firemen and paramedics are also declining.

To combat this, some are calling for an increase in the tax rate. It is essential that our taxpayer dollars will be managed prudently, and Rich will vehemently oppose such tax hikes. But he will not do so blindly. Rich Sokol conducts business with honesty and integrity and possesses the analytical skills necessary to truly analyze the budget to determine where cuts can be made without jeopardizing the outstanding service South Metro fire provides to our community.

Please consider voting for Rich Sokol.
