Vote for Meek
Having known and worked with Susan Meek on public education issues since 2013, there is no one more qualified and capable of serving in District A on the Douglas County Board of Education.
For 12 years, Susan devoted countless volunteer hours supporting teachers, parents and students at local schools while she led a Parent/Teacher Organization and chaired two School Accountability Committees. In addition, she worked for six years for Douglas County School District (2005-2011) where, among many accomplishments, she became communications director and the district’s media spokesperson while serving on the superintendent’s leadership team.
More recently, Susan has been employed as a strategy and communications specialist with the Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE) and the Colorado Association of School Boards (CASB) where she also provided resources for professional development. As an advocate for public education, Susan launched the Colorado Education Network and, along the way, received two awards in 2018 — a Rural Service Award and the State Leadership Award from CASB.
Experience in public education and tested leadership skills are not the only assets Susan would bring to the Douglas County Board of Education. Perhaps most importantly, Susan embodies and promotes the finest values our public schools and our nation stand for – student achievement, student health and safety, opportunity and kindness for all, community, honesty, integrity, and nonpartisan leadership.
It is without reservation that I wholeheartedly endorse Susan Meek for the Douglas County Board of Education.
