Lincoln Avenue lanes closed until September

Posted

The City of Lone Tree has scheduled concrete repairs on Lincoln Avenue between Interstate 25 and Oswego Street that began July 23 and will last 60 days.

The construction activity requires the closure of the right and center lane of westbound Lincoln Avenue on weekends from 8 p.m. Fridays to 6 a.m. Mondays. There are no scheduled intersection closures or necessary detour routes.

Since the concrete repairs require crews to place new concrete, there is about a 10- to 12-hour timeframe in which the concrete has to harden. During that time, both lanes will remain closed but construction crews will not be visibly working. This is a necessary process for concrete replacement to ensure the pavement is of high quality and can withstand the heavy traffic of Lincoln Avenue.

Anyone with questions should contact Lone Tree Public Works at 303-662-8112.
