The Police Beat is a sampling of reports taken by the Lone Tree Police Department each week. The information is provided by the police department in its daily bulletin report.

Jan. 9: A woman was arrested on second-degree assault charges for her alleged involvement in a fight at Sky Ridge Medical Center.

Jan. 6: A Macy's employee allegedly stole $181.97 in merchandise.

Jan. 5 : Officers responded to a theft reported at Dillard's, where the security cable had been cut to as many as six Coach purses valued at $1,000.

Jan. 5: A man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence after police pulled him over for allegedly driving the wrong way on the eastbound off-ramp to C-470.

Jan. 3: An officer took a cold report for money laundering at The Home Depot. The report said a person used counterfeit currency in Aurora and returned the item for cash in Lone Tree.

Jan. 3: A man was arrested for allegedly shoplifting from Dick's Sporting Goods and booked on charges of possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
