The Police Beat is a sampling of reports taken by the Lone Tree Police Department. The information is provided by the police department in its daily bulletin report. Dozens of reports are filed every day. This article reflects the most newsworthy reports taken. This week’s installment includes reports from Oct. 30-Nov. 13.
Oct. 30: An officer responded to an alleged assault at Sky Ridge Medical Center. A warrant application was filed with charges of second degree assault on a medical provider, menacing using a deadly weapon, false imprisonment (no ransom or assault) and reckless endangerment.
Oct. 31: A person driving a stolen vehicle broke into the Spirit Halloween employees’ breakroom and stole multiple items from employees. The car was tracked and later located by Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies. Police have no suspect information.
Nov. 1: An argument broke out in the parking lot of Earl’s restaurant in Park Meadows regarding a traffic altercation involving an Earl’s employee.
Nov. 6: A large dog was found at Yosemite Street and Maximus Drive. The dog, a medium-sized husky mix, was taken to a pet rescue center.
Nov. 9: Four storage units were broken into at Public Storage, 8812 Park Meadows Drive. Police have no suspect information.
Nov. 12: A sexual assault was reported to have occurred in the area of the Sky Ridge Light Rail Station.
Nov. 13: Two detachable snowplows, valued at $6,000 each, were reported stolen from the Park Meadows mall parking lot. No suspect information is known.
Nov. 13: Police responded to a business alarm at the Lone Tree Recreation Center. Upon arrival, one man was arrested on allegations of assaulting a peace officer and obstruction.
