Men caught after robbing local Sonic

Two men were arrested for robbing a Sonic restaurant in Parker.

On Oct. 9 at about 5 p.m., Amador Acevedo, 18, and Alexander Lopez, 18, broke the front glass door with a rock and entered the restaurant at 16538 Keystone Blvd., assaulted a female employee and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

The employee sustained minor injuries, and it is unknown if the suspects had a weapon.

Acevedo and Lopez were transported to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office after being taken into custody by the Parker Police Department. They were charged with aggravated robbery, first degree burglary, menacing, assault, theft and criminal mischief. Both suspects are being held on $50,000 bond.
