Mock trial camp for high school students

Rock Canyon High School will host a mock trial camp July 25-29 for high school students.

Students with little or no experience as a trial-team competitor, those wishing to hone their skills as trial-team competitors or those who simply want to sharpen their presentation skills are welcome to attend.

Instructors are Chris Page and federal trial attorney Shane McMahon. Each participant will have the opportunity to try a simulated case as part of a two-person team.

Subjects for the class include theory of the case, trial plan, opening statements, direct examinations, cross-examinations, re-direct examinations, intro and use of exhibits, demonstrative evidence, impeachment, rehabilitation of witnesses, examination and cross-examination of expert witnesses and closing arguments.

Each day runs from 8:55 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost of the class is $550 if you register by June 30. Space is limited, so call 303-688-2700 to register or visit OurKidsOurSchools.com.
