An open house is set for this weekend at the new Riverstone
Early Care and Education Campus in Ridgegate.
Riverstone, which will open Feb. 17, is a 15,500-square-foot
early learning campus on 1.2 acres of land with 45 parking
spaces.
Riverstone Early Care and Education Campus will service ages 6
weeks up to age 12. The older students will benefit from the
technology lab, featuring individual computers, and Nintendo
Wii.
The open house will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 14.
The teaching staff has an average tenure exceeding 10 years and
abides by the mission of developing the “whole child.” Riverstone
Academy is committed to a family focused environment.
The center has room for ballet, indoor playtime and a karate
exhibition area. Surrounding the indoor play area are the
classrooms.
Outside is an 11,000-square-foot playground and a replica of a
child’s first mountain bike course. Soft foam, called “Pour N
Play,” makes rolling down squishy mounds a harmless activity.
A Mandarin Immersion Program also will be offered. The language
enrichment program will teach children from ages 2-12 the Mandarin
language and Chinese culture, in a developmentally appropriate
curriculum.
Riverstone will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through
Fridays. Riverstone will also offer off-track and summer school
programs.
