Douglas County is co-sponsoring a free community recycling event that will accept electronics and up to three file boxes or kitchen trash bags of paper for shredding.

There is not a limit on the number of household electronics, including computers and televisions, but all must plug into a wall. Appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, etc., will not be accepted.

The free recycling event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Echo Park Stadium, 11901 Newlin Gulch Road, Parker.
