Youth award nominations due Feb. 24

Nominations for the Metropolitan Mayors and Commissioners Youth Award (MMCYA) are being accepted by Douglas County through Feb. 24. Those nominated must be teens, ages 13 to 19, who have overcome difficult situations in their lives.

The MMCYA recognizes and supports young people who have made positive changes and exhibited strength and determination in the face of adversity. Anyone may nominate a teen that meets this description by completing a nomination form available online at www.douglas.co.us/commissioners/Metro_Mayors_and_Commissioners_Youth_Award.html
